MRS. W.D. JOHNSTON OF O'BRIEN DIES

Mrs. W.D. Johnston of O'Brien suddenly became ill last Tuesday, October 25 and died at 4 o'clock the next morning. Mrs. Johnston is well known all over the county and has been a resident of O'Brien for many years. She was fifty-three years of age and is survived by her husband and eleven children, all of who reside at O'Brien except one daughter, Mrs. Pete Southall, of Plainview. Mrs. Johnston also leaves 14 grandchildren. The funeral services were conducted at O'Brien in the Baptist church by Rev. E.D. Dunlap of Abilene, assisted by Rev. English of Knox City. Mrs. Johnston was buried at 4p.m. Wednesday at the Rochester Cemetery. She was an intensely religious woman and had been a member of the Baptist Church since she was 14 years old. Her many friends and relatives will grieve at the passing of a woman beloved by all that knew her.
