She married Dee Floyd Stoker, April 2, 1956 in Evanston, Wyoming; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple February 22, 1968. Dee passed away April 4, 1986.
Vera was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was actively engaged in the Relief Society and other auxiliaries. She served two LDS missions; was an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple and a volunteer worker at the Bishop's storehouse.
Surviving are four daughters, Dalone Orozco, So. Ogden; Joanie Stoker, Syracuse; Laurie (Drew) Parker, Wellsville; and Shari (Casey) King, Syracuse; three brothers, George Garner, Uintah; Paul Garner, Tremonton; James Garner, Hooper; three sisters, Lela Cottam, Hooper; Mary Lou Hancock, West Weber; and Lois Smith, Mesquite, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and a sister.
