Harry W. Falkenberg, 81, of Kerrville, passed from this life at his home on Friday morning, August 20, 2010.

Born in Knippa, Texas on July 13, 1929, he was the son of Otto and Clara (Balzan) Falkenberg. Harry served in the US Army during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1952 with the rank of Corporal.

He worked for Reynolds Aluminum in Ingleside, Texas and retired after 34 years. Harry was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Taft.

He was a member of the RV Club, loved to travel, gardening, dancing, woodworking and visiting Mountain Home, Texas to hunt. Family was very important to him.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, JoAnn Tallant Falkenberg of Kerrville; his sons, Harry Dean Falkenberg of Sheffield, Texas and Kevin Smith of Portland, Texas; his daughters, Deborah Evans of Marble Falls, Texas and Dana Anderson of Highlands, Texas and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Kerrville Funeral Home on Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. and at Faith Lutheran Church, Taft, Texas on Monday, August 23, 2010 from 1:00 -2:00 P.M.

A celebration of his life will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1040 Gregory St, Taft, Texas on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 2PM. Committal services will follow at San Patricio Memorial Gardens, Portland, Texas.
