Brownsburg Va. Nov. The funerals of Dr. Walker and his wife took place this morning,the procession leaving town at 11 O'clock. The weather was wet and very disagreeble, but not withstanding
that people had been coming in since early morning and the
attendance was one of the largest that ever took place in the county. The procession was three quarters of a mile long and the crowd gathered at New Providence church yard is estimated at from 1,000 to 1,200 people. There was only a short service at the single grave in which Dr. Walker and his wife were both laid. Among those present John Randolph Tucker.
The pall bearers for Dr. Walker were,Dr.S.B.Morrison,Dr. John McClung, Dr.D.E.Strain H.L. Terrell McM Sterrett, M.W.Paxton, Jno.H. B. Jones
The pall bearers for Mrs. Walker were Wm. Hutcheson
