LAOR J BETTS: 63; Rochester, died today at his home of an apparent heart attack. MrBetts was born 18 Aug 1918 in BarnesCnty ND. He married Loretta Mae Cooley 19 Feb 1948 in Rochester, she survives. He moved to Roches-ter from Minneapolis at age 14 & was employ-ed in maintenance at the MayoClinic for 33yrs, also working part-time at the Post-Bulletin. MrsBetts is employed at the clinic. He was a member of Eagles Club & was a veteran of WWII-serving in the army.
Survivors include 3 sons: Richard, Ronald-both Rochester; Charles-LongBeach CA; 3 daus: Diane (sp-Ken) Hoerner-Rochester; Darlene (sp-Truman) Clauson-StPaul & Carol Betts-Las Vegas NV; 10 grandchildren; 2 sis: MrsMyrtle Boblitt, MrsMargie Cullen-both Rochester; 3 bros: Sherman-BrownsValley; Lewis-Moorhead & Raymond-SanFrancisco. He was preceded in death by 2 bros & 2 sis.
