William Vickers Dies in Corpus Christi
William Lester Vickers died in Corpus Christi Sunday at 3 p.m. and services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial was in the Wrightsboro cemetery.
Mr. Vickers was born on January 8, 1897, in Gonzales, his parents being William L. and Alma McGinty Vickers, natives of Prescott, Ark., and Gonzales respectively.
A carpenter by trade, he was a member of the Presbyterian church and of the Masonic Lodge. He was married, June 1, 191 to MissIda Worthington. The couple had been making their home in Corpus Christi.
Survivors include two sons, M. S. Vickers and R. D. Vickers, both of Frankel City; one brother, A. A. Burton; two sisters, Mrs. Almeda Bean, Gonzales; and Mrs. Mary Piland, Smiley.
