Edgewood, Ia. -- Ezra J. Romig, 76, former mayor and councilman of Edgewood, died Thursday night. The body is at the Rhines Funeral Home here, where arrangements are incomplete.
Mr. Romig was born Feb. 15, 1878, near Littleport, a son of Jacob and Mary Greenley Romig. He was a lifelong resident of the Edgewood area and a carpenter by trade. He married Harriett Stone, who died in 1918.
Surviving are five sons, Cecil of Hannibal, Mo. Lawrence of Whittier, Calif., Mike and Lloyd of Edgewood, and Lyle of Lamont; and two daughters, Mrs. Edith Smith of Sulphur, Okla. and Mabel in California.
