(my 2x great grandfather), Paul Frederick Brown, that I just found in one of his journals.
"Mary W. Edenfield died on Thursday night 8 1/2 July 14th 1910. The end came rather unexpected as she had seemed to improve under the new treatment. Mr. Edenfield was not able to get here in time. We had the body embalmed, and Sallie went with Mr. Edenfield to Jacksonville Fla where the dear child was buried by the side of her little baby. Mary was 28 years old, and had been married 3 years. It was hard to have to give her up, but God knows what is best. Brevard, N.C. July 23 1910. (How sad life is)"
