Born March 25, 1922 in Burnett County, Adell was a daughter of the late James Perry and Sarah (Foy) Smithwick. She was the widow of James Butler Donnelly whom she married in 1936. Adell later married Edward Cox. He preceded her in death in 1979. Adell was a member of the Truby Church of Christ and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister
Survivors include two sons, Gene Donnelly and wife, Sharen of San Angelo, Lynn Fletcher, of Haskell ,daughters Dorothy McCoy and husband, Bobbie of Abilene, Jane Fletcher and husband, Bobby of San Angelo, Ann Lenz and husband, Steve of Eula and Linda Gaines of Haskell, 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, also special lifelong friend and neighbor Belle Newman of Anson, and special cousin Jan Talley.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandchildren and Great grandchildren.
Family visitation will be Friday, August 20, 2010, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Adams-Graham Funeral Home, 732 Ave I –Anson, Texas. In lieu of flowers, Meals on Wheels.
