Effie B. Bowling, 87, of Newnan, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. She was born in North Carolina to the late Theopholis and Effie (Cotton) Best. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cedric T. Bowling, Sr.; son, David Bowling and two grandchildren. She was a memeber of East Newnan Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with Pastor's; Jimmy Evans, Doug Bearden and Pat Latta officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City. Condolences may be expressed online at www.mckoon.com She is survived by daughters; Beverly Walker, Glenda Fay Hugi, Iris Cobb, sons, Tom Bowling and Dale Bowling.
