Charles Lewis Lamar 75, of Carrier Mills, Il. died Tues Dec. 11, 2001 at 8:24 PM at Harrisburg Medical Center. Services will be held Saturday Dec 15, 2001 at 1 PM at the Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, Il. Visitation will be Fri from 5 to 8 pm. Rev. Harl Cockrum will officiate & burial will be in Coal Bank Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the No Williford Baptist Church or the Carrier Mills 1st Baptist Church and may be left at the funeral home. He was born on Oct 4, 1926 in Harrisburg, Il. to Charles & Vollie (Ledbetter) Lamar. He married Maxine Garrison Nov. 7, 1947 in Morganfield, Ky and she survives. He was a retired inspector from International Harvester, and was previously empoloyed at Dairy Brand Corp in Harrisburg, Il. He was a member and active Deacon at the Carrier Mills First Baptist Church. He enjoyed his family, friends, singing, hunting and fishing. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife Maxine of Carrier Mills, Il. 2 sons, Gary Phillip(Sue) Lamar of Mundelein, Il & Charles Ray aka Chuck (Denise) Lamar of Albertsville, Al. 4 daughters, Lavonna June Lamar of Harrisburg, Rebecca Ann Danielsen of Antelope, Ca, Donna Jean (Tom) Try of Libertyville, Il. and Patricia Gail (Glenn) Larsen of Zion, Il. 2 Sisters Elizabeth Sullivan of Missouri and June (John) Vinyard of Hutsonville, Il. 14 grandchildren, Kevin Charles, Kenneth Ray, Karen Marie, Kathryn Sue, Andrea Dawn, Victoria Lynn, Joshua Daniel Lamar, Rod Justin Danielsen, Samantha Rae Pryor, Sarah Beth & Timothy Norman Try, Melissa Ann Roberts, Tim & Tiffaney Larsen and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson David Philip Larmar June 1972.
