Jack "David" Adams, 59, of Kansas City North, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2009.

David was born in Topeka, Kan., on May 4, 1949. He graduated from Oak Park High School in 1967 and attended Central Missouri State University prior to joining the United States Navy. David worked for Union Pacific Railroad as a brakeman/switchman.

David was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

His mother, JoAnn Adams, preceded David in death. His is survived by his father, Jack Adams and step-mother, Dona Adams of Gladstone, Mo.; daughter, Leslee DeShon Adams and grandson, Brett DeShon of Johnson County, Kan.; sisters, Peggy Evans and husband Lee of Gladstone, and Kyle Beyer and husband Bill of Blue Springs, Mo. He also leaves behind nieces, Kelli Evans, Jamie Dawson, Emily Armstrong and nephew, Billy Beyer, along with two great-nieces and three great-nephews.

Visitation will held from 12 to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 North Antioch Road, with a funeral service following at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Lobb Cemetery Blue Springs.

The Family would like to thank the staff at North Care Hospice and Barr Health Care for their care and support during David's illness. They would also like to thank David's friends at Riverside Rehabilitation Center for their kind friendships.
