Hillsville - Mrs. Mallie Magdalene Bowman Goad, 85, died Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. E.H. Vaughn, Galax.
Also surviving are two sons, John M. Dickerson of Dublin and Mawyer Goad of Dugspur; a stepdaughter, Mrs. W.S. Vaughan, Youngstown, Ohio; two stepsons, Ova Goad of Henderson, Md., and Guy Goad, Dugspur; 20 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel by Elder Clevie Nester, the Rev. Oren Starr. Burial was in the Stanley Cemetery near Laurel Fork
