Mrs. A. G. Henry Dies At Wrightsboro

Laid To Rest Sunday Afternoon

"Gonzales County and the Wrightsboro section lost a noble pioneer resident in the passing of Mrs. A. G. Henry, whose death occurred at the Holmes Hospital Saturday, August 31, at 6:30 a.m.

Mrs. Henry was 71 years, 8 months and 19 days of age.

Surviving her are three sons, Jack, Bennet and Garner Henry, and nine daughters, Mesdames W. T. McBride, Ben Hinton, Ed Robinson, Edna Hinton, Hart Barnett, Morgan Buchanan and Miss Ola Henry, all living in this county, and Mrs. Ed Caraway of Uvalde and Mrs. Beverly Turner of Kerrville.

She also leaves a number of grandchildren.

Mrs. Henry was born in this county coming of a pioneer family of Wrightsboro section where she was born and reared and where she spent her entire life.

She was a daughter of L. W. Wright, one time county commissioner from the Wrightsboro precinct.

For many years she had been a professing Christian and was a member of the Wrightsboro Baptist church.

Mrs. Henry was a devoted wife and mother and was widely loved not only in the large family connection, but throughout that section of the county.

The funeral has been set for 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon with services at the residence of her son, Bennet Henry, at Wrighsboro. Dr. O. L. Smith, pastor of the First Baptist church of this city will conduct the services. Robertson and Seydler, funeral directors, will have charge of the Funeral. In their loss the loved ones will have the warm sympathy of scores of friends throughout this section."
