Clara (Bea) ALVEY: Age 72 OF Leitchfield, passed away Friday (FEB. 6, 1998) at her residence. Mrs Alvey was born in Grayson Co, April 20, 1925, the daughter of Walter and Clara Lush. She was a member of the St Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield. She and her family have been members of the St Joseph Catholic community since the early 1950's. Mrs. Alvey is survived by two sons; Herman Alvey, Jr and Bill Alvey both of Leitchfield; four daughters, Susie Mattingly, Margaret Fey and Lisa Pharris all of Leitchfield, Janet Ramsey of Louisville. Two brothers; Leonard and Richard Pierce both of Leitchfield, four sisters; Eula Gross and Mary Johnston of Leitchfield, Elizabeth Johnston of Hart Co and Ruby Zwahlen of IN. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Clara Pierce; one brother Louis Pierce, one infant daughter, Kathy Lynn Alvey and two grandsons; Bryan Ramsey and Jarren Pharris. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 11am at the St Joseph Catholic Church and burial in the St Joseph Cemetery. Rosary will be Monday night.
