She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Annie Coffey Dunbar and the widow of John McFarland.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
She was proceded in death by one sister, Zilpha Dunbar; and two brothers, Benfer and Ewell Dunbar.
Mrs. McFarland was a retired nurse and a member of the Jamestown United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel with Bro. Montie Fugate officiating.
Burial was in the Jamestown Cemetery.
