Lon's obit from th Christian Co., Republican said: "Alonzo Franklin Richardson, 74, died Tuesday at his home at Oldfield. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Oldfield school with the Rev. Roy Shipman of Sparta officiating. Burial was in the Oldfield cemetery under direction of Harris of Chadwick. Mr. Richardson was born August 7, 1875, in Indiana, the son of Sampson and Elizabeth Richardson. He came to Christian county at the age of 5 and spent the rest of his life in the Oldfield community. On July 7, 1898, he was united in marriage to Mandy Gillmore and to this union one daughter and three sons were born. His wife and one son, Ernie preceded him in death. Survivors include the daughter, Mrs. Hazel Shipman, two sons, Lee and Willard Richardson, all of Oldfield; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Gardner of Oldfield; one brother, George Richardson of Springdale, AR; two half-brothers, W. D. Richardson of Oldfield and Ernest Richardson of Colorado; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren other relatives and many friends."
