Sharp also had worked in the coal mines in his younger years. He was a member of New Home Baptist Church. Survivors are two other sons, Esco and Frisco Sharp, both of Andersonville; three daughters. Mrs. Mildred Ruth Humphrey of Andersonville; Mrs. Georgia Woody and Mrs. Patsy Perez, both of Hammond, Ind.; 28 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Fraker of Clinton Rt.4; one brother Homer Sharp of Pennsylvania.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Home Baptist Church. The Rev. Jack Taylor and the Rev. Arlis LeMarr officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
