Death on Thursday night at 10 o'clock ended long suffering for Miss Lizzie Kase, widely known in the city as housekeeper for many years at the home of Dr. Clyde J. Saylor, North Eighth Street physician. She was taken ill about four years ago, and during most of the intervening period resided with her only niece, Mrs. Enlan Peiffer, and family at 638 North Seventh Street. She was confined to bed there for nineteen months, in the tender care of Mrs. Peiffer, and a sister, Miss Tillie Kase, who resides at the same address. The decedent would have attained the 70th year of her age, on the 11th day of next month. She was born and reared at Jonestown, the daughter of Henry and Rebecca (Zehring) Kase. The family moved to this city when she was in her girlhood. She was held in high esteem as a member of St. Mark's Evangelical and Reformed Church and was a member of the Ladies' Bible Class in the Sunday School almost since it was organized. In addition to the sister she leaves a brother, Robert J. Kase, of 1562 Chestnut Street, and a number of nephews and nieces. [Lebanon Daily News, Lebanon, Pa., Friday April 13, 1945]
