Mrs. Etta V. , 74 of 903 South Tennessee Street, passed away Monday in Collin Memorial Hospital after three weeks illness. She was born in Mississippi May 18, 1889, but had lived in Collin County for 50 years. She was a member of the Nazarene Church.

Surviving are her husband, Portman Barker of McKinney; three sons, J. T. Lofton, Bonham; Charles Lofton, South Carolina, Erwin Lofton, of the U. S. Navy; two daughters Mrs. M. C. Lee, Norfolk, Va., Mrs. B. M. Grisham, Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Jordan and Mrs. Della Jordan, both of Mississippi; two brothers, E. C. Burt, of Louisiana and Elzie Burt of California; and 12 grandchildren.
Turrentine-Jackson Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
