Charles W. Hall, retired farmer of Yellow Creek, passed away sometime Friday night, March 8, his lifeless body being discovered by the family in the morning when going to his room. He had not been in good health since suffering a fall two months ago, when his side was injured, and had been bedfast part of the time.

He was aged 72 years, and would have been 73 next month. He was born at Yellow Creek, the son of Benjamin and Catherine Price Hall, and was united in marriage with Adaline Fluke. They followed the trade of farming until three years ago, when they built a home in Yellow Creek and moved there to spend the rest of their days in retirement.

Mr. Hall was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and of Loysburg Grange. He is survived by his wife, one son, James of Yellow Creek, and one daughter, Gertrude, wife of Charles Hale of Tyrone. One son Robert is deceased. He is survived by three brothers, Henry and James of Yellow Creek, and George of Loysburg, and one sister, Mrs. George Gorsuch of Yellow Creek, also fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One brother, John Hall of Leavenworth, Kan., died on last Christmas.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Reformed church at Yellow Creek, in charge of his pastor, Rev. B. F. Shue. Interment was made in the cemetery near the church.
