Mrs. Vaughn, 82, Dies At Maben ( should read 92)

Mrs. Una Orene Vaughn, 92, of Route 1, Mantee, died Oct. 17, 1972, at the Tom Bailey Clinic at Maben. Funeral services were conducted at 3:30, Wednesday, Oct. 18, from Pine Bluff Church, with the Rev. Leslie Dodson and Rev. Castleberry officiating. Interment was in the Pine Bluff Cemetery, with Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Paul Vaughn, Howard White, Charles Martin, Rex Johnson, Don Vaughn and David Vaughn.

Having resided in Clay county most of her life, Mrs. Vaughn was born Feb. 29, 1880, the daughter of Elizabeth Durham and Joel Johnson. She was married to Guy B Vaughn, who preceded her in death. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include three sons: Albert, of Mantee, Arthur of Cedar Bluff, and Guy of Mantee; five daughters, Mrs. Kidie White of Mantee, Mrs. Viola Carter of Meridian, Mrs. Marie Forrester of West Point, Mrs. Armada Martin of Mantee, and Mrs. Una Mae Forriester of Mantee. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
