Mary King, 83, of Payne, passed away at home Tuesday, June 9, 2015.

Mary was born in Payne on June 28, 1931, a daughter of the late Nellie E (Ruger) and Walter F Fry.

On April 11, 1950 she married William R King, who died May 5, 2004.

Mary was the secretary to the Superintendent of Wayne Trace High School for 31 years. She was a member of St. Jacob's UCC; Daughters of Union Veterans; Daughters of American Colonists & served as president & treasurer of the Colonial Dames XVII Century for many years.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Bruce (Laura) of Pemberville; sisters, Jean Gebhart of Virginia Beach, Carolyn Houser of Fort Wayne & Frances Kay Tittel of Bluffton, SC; grandsons, Christian (Kristel) King, Warren (Karen) & Anthony Killian and great grandchildren, Andrew & Tanner.

Also preceding her in death were her son, Robert; daughters, Shirley Killian, Diane King & an infant and sister, Mildred Wilson.

Visitation is Friday, 4-8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne.

Her funeral service is at Saint Jacob's United Church of Christ, Payne at 10 am on Saturday, June 13th, with visitation one hour prior.

She will be laid to rest at Lehman Cemetery.

Memorials are to St. Jacob's Church or charity of your choice.
