Fletcher (Staff) -- Services for John T[homas] Ledford, 88, [a] long-time resident of Fletcher[, Oklahoma], will be at 2:30 pm today [22 Jun 1969] in the First Baptist Church. Rev. A. L. Swagerty, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in [the] Fletcher Cemetery under [the] direction of Dalton-Robbins Funeral Home.

Mr. Ledford died [on] Friday night [20 Jun 1969] in a Cyril[, Oklahoma] nursing home following an eight-month illness.

Born [on] April 5, 1881 in Montague County, Tex[as], he married Minnie Lee Brumley in Carter County[, Oklahoma] in 1928. Mrs Ledford died in 1942.

Mr. Ledford was a retired farmer. He was a member of [the] First Baptist Church.

Surviving are three sons: Ramon [Ledford] and Ted Ledford, both of Fletcher[, Oklahoma], and J. B. Ledford of Duncan[, Oklahoma]; two daughters: Mrs. I. V. Pollan of...Lawton[, Oklahoma] and Mrs. Joe Smith of Wichita Falls, Tex[as]; two sisters: Mrs. Mozelle Burch of...Lawton[, Oklahoma] and Mrs. Ada Allen of California; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
