Agnes was the daughter of David Phairn Pate and Mary Campbell Lindsay. She married Thomas Gillon June 28, 1940, in Los Angeles. The Pate family came to America around 1910 and settled in the Pittsburg area. Before the war the family returned to Scotland except David. Then around June, 1923, the family joined David in Detroit. Agnes' siblings were Alexander, Flora, and Jean. Jean was born in the Pittsburg area. Her father David died in Jan, 1939, in Detroit in Grace Hospital and is buried with his wife in Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak.

Mary died in the late 60's in Englewood, Los Angeles, California. Alexander died around in 1982 in Warren, Michigan. He was married to Margaret Clifford who died in 1960. Flora married Archibald Watson and lived in Torrence, California. She died in 1986 in Torrence and is buried in Torrence. Jean married twice, first to Herbert Segal and 2nd to Larry Smith.
