Staff Sgt. Duane M. Rousseau, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Rousseau of 4235 Fizer Road, was killed in action in Vietnam July 28, his family was notified yesterday. A graduate of Overton High School, Sergeant Rousseau joined the Army in November 1967, and was with the Company B, 11th Infantry Brigade. He was formerly employed by Holiday Press and was a communicant of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Sergeant Rousseau was the 173rd Shelby Countian to be killed in combat in Vietnam. He also leaves a brother, Jean A. Rousseau Jr., and a sister, Miss Michele Marie Rousseau, both of the home address. Memphis Funeral Home on Union will have charge. Mass for Army Staff Sgt. Duane M. Rousseau, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Rousseau of 4235 Fizer, will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be in National Cemetery. Sergeant Rousseau, who was killed in action in Vietnam July 28, also leaves a brother, Jean A. Rousseau Jr., and a sister, Miss Michele Marie Rousseau, both of the home address, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. B. Spotorno of St. Louis and Mrs. Fred L. Rousseau of 1887 Jefferson.
