Funeral services were held at the Litchfield Christian Church. Pallbearers were Henry Christensen, T.R. Hammond, William Kabiser, Albert Heapy, W.L. Frakes, & Glen Vian with burial in the Arcadia Cemetery. Elizabeth was born 29 Jul 1872 to Jacob & Harriet Rathgeb in Hamilton county & died in Loup City at the age of 88 years, 10 months & 4 days. She had been in failing health for the past 2 years. She grew up in Hamilton county. After finishing school she engaged in dressmaking for 4 years. On 4 Oct 1895 she was united in marriage to Napoleon B. Carver at her parents home near Hampton. 7 children were born to this union. All of whom survive except one son, who died in infancy.

After her marriage they lived in Hampton. Then the family moved to Red Willow county where they farmed for 5 years. From there they moved to Arcadia and lived on a farm until
the death of her husband in 1951. Next she moved to Litchfield where she remained for the rest of her life. She is survived by 3 daughters: Mrs. Hazel Owens of Arcadia, Mrs. Mida Zlomke of Litchfield, Mrs. Lucille Howe of Cody, WY; 3 sons: Clifton of Omaha, Maynard of Long Beach, CA, Maurice of Arcadia; 2 sisters: Mrs. Rose Turner of Mason City, Mrs. Delia Knapp of Compton, CA; 12 Grand-children & many Great-Grand-children.
