One of 10 children born and raised in the Toronto, Ks/ Buffalo, KS area. Graduate of the District Common School of Yates Center KS in 1900, the Public High School Toronto, KS in 1902, and Ottawa University in 1904.
Mother of 5 children, Maurice, Helen, Jean, Katherine, and Eleanor. Fondly called "Danny" by grandchildren, family and friends. The nickname preferred to "Granny" was given to her by first grandson Lee Edmiston Ray son of Katherine VanBeber Ray. Spent her life doing geneology with sisters, neices, and grandchildren. Member of the DAR. An avid reader and writter.
