Chester M. Delk, 87, Cains Store, died Saturday, Dec. 4, at Lake Cumberland Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

He was a retired farmer, a veteran of World War I, and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Born in Pulaski County, July 22, 1895, he was the son of the late Henry Delk and Eliza Sharpe Delk.

He was married Feb. 16, 1923, to the former Beatrice Roy, who survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Chester M. Delk, Jr. of Muncie, Ind., Parker Delk of Nancy, and Roy Delk of Indianapolis, Ind.; seven daughters, Mrs Victor (Rella) Maier of Loveland, Ohio, Mrs. Joe (Marie) Weddle of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Calvin (Elnora) Foertach of California, Mrs. Mary Wilson of Crawfordsville, Ind., Mrs. Tommy (Emma) Reams of Richmond, Mrs. Rodney (Dora) Roy of Tucker, Ga., and Mrs. Wayne (Linda) Baker of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Rufus (Alberta) Foster of Faubush; 26 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Elder S.L. Sears officiating.

Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 5 p.m. today at Pulaski Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
