Lorraine Cochran of Rolla, Missouri passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was 90 years of age.
Lorraine, the daughter of the late Archie and Bessie (Dotson) Helton, was born October 15, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri. Her first marriage was to Earnie Henson. On May 28, 1966, she was united in marriage to her second husband, Lester Cochran in Vienna, Missouri.
She is survived by her two sons, Vic Henson (Jackie) of St. James, Missouri and Lester "Pug" Henson (Linda) of St. James, Missouri; two stepsons: Paul Cochran (Linda), Larry Cochran (Diana); Step Daughter: Lucreta Yates; brother, Richard Helton of Virginia; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Earnie Henson; her second husband, Lester Cochran who passed away December 28, 2010; Step-Sons: Robert and Kenneth Cochran; and her brother, Pete Archie Helton, Jr.
Lorraine loved being a mother; she loved her kids with all her heart. She enjoyed camping and fishing on the Gasconade, Missouri, and Osage Rivers. Branson was her favorite place to visit; she loved watching the shows and shopping. She dearly loved her dog, Sugar. She worked at the Schwitzer plant in Rolla Missouri for 21 years.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Friday, February 9, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, February 9, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home with Pastor Don Carson officiating. Pallbearers will be Milo Mattocks, Mike Brown, David Chilsom, Eric Henson, John Raulston, Pug Henson and Dudley Raulston. Burial will be in the Rolla Cemetery.
