She was born February 10, 1910 in Beecher City, Effingham Co., Illinois, the daughter of Levi and Sarah Ellen Barr Grubaugh. She married Thomas M. Anderson on December 4, 1926 in Monticello. He preceded her in death in 1956.
Also preceding her in death were her father and mother, a granddaughter, Karen Jones Cooper and a 3-year-old grandson, Thomas W. (Tommy) Smith.
Surviving are two sons, L. Dale Andersonnd T. Ray Anderson, three daughters, Bernice Jones, Bonnie Anderson and Linda Smith, a sister, Vera K. Grubaugh,nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and twenty great-great grandchildren.
