Huldah S. "Huddie" Beale, 88, formerly of Port Royal RR1, died at 10:05 p.m.m Friday, March 17, 2000, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, HC 67, Mifflin.
Born Aug 11, 1911, in Spruce Hill Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Nevin and Bertha (Harter) Swartz. Her husband, Edgar F. Beale, died March 11, 1977.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by brothers and sisters, the Rev. Frank J. Swartz, Sr., Dr. Oramel Swartz, Stanley Swartz, Claude Swartz, Oscar Swartz, Emma Hubbard, Della Brackbill, Alma Ritter, Ethel Landis, and Mary Weber.
She was a retired seamstress, having worked for the Mifflin Dress Factory.
She was a member of the Rock Full Gospel Assembly of God Church.
Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with the Rev. Paul C. Parrish officiating. Interment will be in Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
