John B. Ball
81, of Pinsonfork, Ky., passed away Sunday August 15, 2010 at his residence. He was born September 14, 1928 at Pinsonfork, Ky., to the late George Robert and Luna Bell Stanley Ball. He is also preceded in death by his wife; Florence Ball, son; William Copley, sisters; Leola Ball, Bobby Jean Ratliff and Louella Smith. He was a retired coal miner at Eastern Coal Company, a member of the U.M.W.A. and a member of the Little Hope Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by one sister; Glenna Hatfield of Fort Worth, TX., six grandchildren; Patti Copley of Williamson, W.V., John Copley of Mathiston, Miss., David Copley of Hatfield, Ky., Eddie Copley of Lexington, Ky.,Opal Kenyon and Terry Kenyon of Pinsonfork, Ky.; great grandchildren, Amanda Rutherford, Heather Cochran, Stacy Hall, Ryan Copley, Amy McCown, Peyton Copley, Kaitee Williamson, Chrystal Kenyon, Ashley Copley, Eric Kenyon and Joey Kenyon; caregiver, Crystal Zankovitch of Pinsonfork, Ky., and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday August 18, 2010 at the Funeral Home Chapel with Raymond Stanley, Frank Ball and Kenny Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Ance Hatfield Cemetery, Pinsonfork, Ky., with Kevin Ball, Jackson Thacker, Bret Moore, Justin Browning, Eddie Copley and Terry Kenyon serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday and Tuesday at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with special services both nights at 7 PM. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Ky. is in charge of arrangements.
