John Scott Harvey, 46, of Dracut, died Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Saints Medical Center after a long illness with his family and friends by his side. He was the husband of Terrilane Gardner-Harvey with whom he had shared the last ten years of his life.

A son of Lucille (Vigneault) Harvey of Dracut and the late John F. Harvey, he was born June 18, 1964, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools, graduating from the Greater Lowell Vocational High School.

When he wasn't enjoying time with family and friends, his passion was his motorcycle. He was involved in various Charity events involving motorcycle riding. He also adored his dogs, Harley Girl and Tank.

John was a member of the Harley Owners Group, the Billerica Elks, and the Moose Club. He was also a communicant of St. Francis Church in Dracut where he had made his home for the past five years. Previously, he had resided in Tyngsboro. He worked as a Architectural Designer throughout the New England area since 1983.

In addition to his wife, Terrilane, and his mother, Lucille, he is survived by his children, Tanya Halpin and her husband, Chris, of Acton, Jillian Harvey of Dracut, and Jonathan "LJ" Harvey of Chelmsford; Terrilane's children, Justen Gardner of Ayer and Brandon Gardner of Dracut; his grandchildren, Mykayla, Stevie, and Shane; his aunts and uncles, Raymond and Jeanne Vigneault of Pelham, NH, and Steve and Denise Belanger of Londonderry, NH; as well as many brothers and sisters in law, cousins, and his many close friends.

He was predeceased by his best friend, Al Anderson.

A Celebration of John's life took place at The McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street Lowell, MA 01852 U.S.A.
