York - Kathryn M. (Bricker) Kann, 79 of York, died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late George E Kann Jr. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc. 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Burial will be in the Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Kann was born April 22, 1919, in Plainfield, Cumberland County. She was the daughter of the late Milton E and Anna D (Burkholder) Bricker. She retired from Doespun in Emigsville, where she was a quality control clothing inspector for many years. She was a charter member of Hayshire United Church of Christ. Mrs. Kann is survived by two sons, Jeffrey M Kann and George E. Kann III, both of York; a daughter, Susan R. Haas of Manheim; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth John of Fort Worth, Texas. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Phyllis J. Baum. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave. York 17403
