Jason Robert Acosta, 22, of Sheridan, IL, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2001.
He was born November 2, 1978 in Aurora. Jason was baptized on December 3, 1978 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Aurora. He was a 1996 graduate of Serena High School and was currently employed at Dominick's in St. Charles. Jason enjoyed sharing his cooking with family and friends. His specialty was Mexican cuisine, but he cooked almost anything.
Jason is survived by his father, Robert J. Acosta; mother, Donna J. Klein-Acosta, both of Sheridan; sister, Patricia S. Acosta of Aurora, brother, Robert W. Acosta of Aurora, sister Jennifer R. Acosta of Sheridan, nephew Robert I. Acosta of Aurora, paternal grandmother Nieves S. Acosta of Aurora, maternal grandmother Wilma A. Klein of Elgin, special stepmother Judy, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many special and concerned friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert M. Acosta, and maternal grandfather, Herbert D. Klein.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. from Fox River Lutheran Church, Norway, IL with Pastor Kevin Garner and Fr. John Waugh officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 10, 2001 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL. Jason will be lying in state from 9:30 until the funeral hour at church on Saturday. Interment will be in Norway Cemetery.
