Mrs. Cairol Abbett, respected woman of the Bear School community near here, passed away at her home Wednesday morning at about 1:00 o'clock, after being stricken with a serious illness Friday of lat week. She was about 72 years of age.

Besides her companion, Mrs. Abbett is survived by seven children: Mrs. C.M. Nixdorf of Pratt, Kans.; Willard Abbett of Tuscumbia; Mrs. Cora Ralston of Kansas City; Mrs. E.L. Pyles of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Clyde Bear of Chicago; John Abbett of Kansas City, and Elvin Abbett of Etterville. One daughter, Anna, kpassed away several years ago. She is also survived by one sister and one brother, Mrs. Roxie Abbett of Dixon and Ed Denton, address unknown. She also leaves several grandchildren and other near relatives and a host of neighbors and friends.

Arrangements are being made for the funeral to be held at the home today (Thursday) at 2:30 p.m., with services by Rev. A.L. Alexander pastor of the Eldon Christian Church. Complete details of Mrs. Abbett's life will be published next week.

The birth date on her headstone shows her birth year as 1871; however, she appears in the 1870 U S Federal Census age 7 months and living with her parents, making her birth year 1869.
