Clorel J. Garrett
(September 6, 1931 - July 4, 2010)

Clorel Jr. Garrett, age 78, of Piedmont, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He was born September 6, 1931 at Hendrickson, MO and had lived in Piedmont for most of his life. He was a lineman for the Ark-Mo Power & Light Company for many years and retired from Union Electric. He was an Army Veteran, serving from 1952 to 1954. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Piedmont. He was married December 18, 1954 to Betty J. Barrett at Patterson, MO.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clorel M. and Delia Anna (Leach) Garrett, an infant son, Alan Wayne Garrett, 3 brothers, Joe, Kenneth and Don Garrett and 1 sister, Iva Lee Littrell.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty J. Garrett, of Piedmont, two daughters, Clorla
Montgomery and her husband Craig, of St. Clair, MO; Angela Beth Helle, of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Jack Garrett and Charles Ray Garrett, both of Bushnell, IL; and two granddaughters, Sommer Garrett, Springfield, MO and Emily Montgomery, St. Clair, MO.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Tuesday at the Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel in Piedmont. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jack Ruble officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Piedmont.

Memorials have been requested to the American Lung Association.
