John Anderson one of the oldest citizens of Portville, pasted away at his home in Brooklyn street early Monday morning following an illness lasting five months, aged 82 years.
Deceased was born in Sweden in 1834, coming to this country 26 years ago, he located in Portville where he has lived ever since. He was a member of the Swedish Lutheran church and faithfully attended the service of his mother church. Deceased is survived by his widow and six children, Albertina Johnson, of Seattle, Wash., August Johnson, Samuel Ludwig and Audry Johnson, of Portville; Mrs. Alberta Anderson, of Olean, and Mrs. Anna Larson, of Bradford.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Swedish Lutheran church, conducted by Pastor Lindo, of Bradford. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
