MURRAY — Funeral services for Fred R. Barney, 42, Murray, husband of the former Evelyn Gordon, a native of Orem, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at 4760 S. State, Salt Lake City. Mr. Barney died Thursday in Murray of natural causes.

Friends may call at the above address tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to the services.

Mr. Barney was born April 6, 1927, in Leota, Uintah County, a son of Ray W. and Florine Ellsworth Barney. He married Evelyn Gordon on Nov. 10, 1949, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He was employed as a carpenter at the time of his death.

Surviving are his widow of Murray; one son and three daughters, Delynn F. Barney, Carol Fern Barney, Sally Ann Barney and Marilyn Barney, all of Murray; his parents of Roosevelt, and two brothers and three sisters, Albert Barney, Alex Barney, Gwen Barney, all of Roosevelt; Mrs. Keith (Elda) Gillen, Sandy, and Vonda Gillen, Draper.

Burial will be in the Murray City Cemetery.
