The youngest son in the family, Willism, and his brother, George, had been away on a fur trading trip. They became ill with Cholera. They were on Wolf Island when George died and William buried him, but he himself died before he could go on home. Family members found them and decided to just bury William there beside his brother.

The Island would have been in Izard county back in 1833 but would have been in moder day Baxter County. The island rather diappeared with the construction of the Norfork Dam.

William was unmarried.
