Mazel Grace Boone, 89, of 912 Pearl St., Tompkinsville, died Aug. 15, 2002 in Indianapolis, Ind. She was a retired hospital respiratory therapist. Born in Monroe County on Nov. 4, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Wade and Gertrude (Hoffman) Grider. She was first married to Jack Boyd Biggerstaff and , following his death, married Ray Boone, also now deceased.
Survivors include three sons - James Edsel Biggerstaff, Fairland, Ind.; and Terry and Kenneth Biggerstaff, both of Indianapolis; a daughter, Lucille Cope, Covington; three brothers - Oths Grider Mt. Herman; Cordell Grider, Glasgow; and Odell Grider, Indianapolis; two sisters, Eddie Bee Bunch and Juanita Bybee, both of Glasgow; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Ima Biggerstaff and Audrey Brown, bot preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 19 at the Yokley-Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with Bro. Larry Cillouet officiating. Burial was at the Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Serving as pallbearers were Jim Biggerstaff; Bryan, John and John Craig; Kevin Haddix; and Steve Polk.
