Date: Monday, June 7, 1993

VALLEY, Ala. -- Pauline G. Crowder, 77, of Valley, died Sunday at East Alabama Medical Center, Opeliks.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home, Valley, with burial in Shawmut Cemetery.

Mrs. Crowder was born June 24, 1915, in Wadley, daughter of Homer Marvin Gray and Odessa Sheppard. She was a homemaker and lived in the Valley ares most of her life. She was a former employee of WestPoint Pepperell's Shawmut Mill and the Lanett Holiday Inn. Her community activities included work with voter registration and the community blook bank. She was a member of Shawmut United Methodist church, the Grace Kemp Circle and the Shawmut Hobby club.

Survivors include her husband, Walter "Shag", two daughtes, Beverly Mannich of Summerdale and Donna Crowder of Huguley; a sister, Gladys Jones of Opelika; three grandchldren and three great-grandchildren
