Helen Agnes Oliver Caines was married to Holly Birch Caines in 1922 (November 22). Holly and Helen were blessed with 5 children: Dixie (1924-2010), Tom (1925-2011), Carol, Jim, and Mary Frances. They had 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Helen suffered a heart attack on Thanksgiving Day while being with family. Holly became an early sufferer of Alzheimer's Disease. She passed away on January 2, 1982 and was followed by Holly's death in December 1982.
One of Helen's greatest joys was being able to go to Ireland in 1980. It was one of her greatest ambitions to go to the land where her own mother (Bridget Meehan) had left many years before. She had the time of her life!!
