LEWISTOWN -- Doris M. Tippey, 92, of 122 West Avenue D, Lewistown, died at 9:20 a.m. Monday (December 25, 2006) at Prairie View Care Center in Lewistown.
Born June 9, 1914, in Isabel Township, Fulton County, the daughter of Calvin and Floss (Camp) Bainter, she married Herbert Tippey on December 16, 1937, in Davenport, Iowa. He survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Scott (Karen) Tippey of Lewistown, Larry (Pamela) Tippey of Lewistown, and Randy (Sindy) Tippey of Astoria; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Eleanor (Alfred) Berry of Canton, Muriel Dilts of Peoria and Shirley (Max) Boo of Lewistown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Cecil Bainter.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m., December 28, at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, the Rev. Ray Greenfield officiating. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m., December 27, at the memorial home. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
Memorials may be made to the Lewistown Rescue Squad or Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown
