Burial is in the church cemetery. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is directing. Visitation is Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Beard was born Aug. 4, 1936 to the late Sam P. and Annie Laurie Parker McGee. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Beard of Gordo; daughter, Suzanne Cannon of Gordo; son, Wade Wilson of Coker; sister, June Watkins of Gordo; brothers, Sam P. McGee, Jr., Frank H. McGee and Charles K. McGee, all of Gordo; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers are Mike McGee, Mitch McGee, Darren McGee, Randy Watkins, Brad Smith and Michael McWhorter.
