BODY OF MRS. SHANNA BROWN BROUGHT HERE
Former Resident of city died last Tuesday.
The body of Mrs. Shanna Brown, who died Tuesday at 11 am at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Worley, in Conway, Ark., arrived this morning over the Illinois Central and was taken to the Day funeral home. Mrs. Brown, a former resident of Bloomington, was the widow of Robert Brown. She was 70 years of age. Death followed a paralytic stroke, suffered several weeks ago.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 pm Friday from the Day funeral home, by elder A W Harvey, Interment will be in Rose Hill. Pallbearers are Hubert Brown, Paul Brown, Fred Hall, Russell Ranard, Arthur Howard and Stanford Thrasher. Flower bearers Mary Stansifer, Gretchen Brummett, Emma Jean Miller and Pearl Herrin.
Immediate survivors are four children, Mrs. Myrtle Worley, with whom she lived at Conway, Mrs. Nell Blair of Conway; Glen Brown of Detroit, and Earl Brown, of Bedford, MO; a sister, Mrs. Eugene Thrasher of the city, and a brother, William Rafford, of Indianapolis. Other surviving relatives are three sisters-in-law, Mrs. B T Ranard, Bloomington, Mrs. Ollie Howard, Remington, and Mrs. Elmer St. Clair, Mooresville, and two brothers-in-law, Luther and E J Brown, both of this city."
