Mrs. Storey was born in Baskin, La., and had lived in Tallulah for 83 years. She retired from the State of Louisiana Welfare Department. She was a member of the Sewing Guild, Town and Country Club and First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie G. Storey; and a son, Dr. Jacob W. Storey.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Storey Walter; one sister, Fannie Thompson of Baton Rouge, La.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and other relatives including James B. Thompson III of Baton Rouge and William R. Thompson of Amherst, Mass.
Services were at at the First United Methodist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Jean Foreman officiating. Burial followed at Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.
Visitation was held that evening until the hour of service at the church. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be John Storey, Joseph Storey, Gerald Walter Jr., Jerry Walter, David Carver, Taylor Carver, Marc Chitty, James Thompson and William Thompson.
