Elanor Lee Elfering, 30, of Savannah, GA, formerly of Lake Villa, IL passed away on July 31, 2010, the result of a tragic car accident. She was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Lake Villa. She was a graduate of Grayslake High School and received her Bachelor's degree in Classics from the University of Arizona. She was a former member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, and was attending the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Georgia. Elanor loved playing soccer in high school and was an active member of the Lindenhurst Blitz traveling soccer club during her years in Illinois. She was a volunteer at the Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences. She loved to cook and loved to laugh, and will be remembered for her free spirited and independent way. She is survived by her parents, Coreen and Robert Elfering, Jr. of Lake Villa; her significant companion for over three years, Vincent Princeotto; her brothers, David and Christopher, both of Lake Villa; her paternal grandmother, Leona Elfering of Lake Forest and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Robert P. Elfering and maternal grandparents, Charles and Jane McFadden.
