Gloria was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Filer, Idaho. She was adopted by Vernon C. and Winifred Boyd and raised and educated in Filer.
In 1942, she moved to Lakeview, where she met Robert c. Utley. They were married on Dec. 9, 1944, at the Utley home.
She was a leader in her children's activities, including scouting, 4-H, swim team and ski team. After they completed their education, she worked at Lakeview Building Material for 17 years.
She was a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi, the arts and crafts group and the Lake District Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a past president of the Lake County Daughters of the Nile and a member of the United Methodist Church. She was instrumental in establishing the United Methodist Church Harvest Dinner and the Lake District Hospital Holiday Fair.
Her greatest joy was her family and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, one sister and one grandchild.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Teryl Curtis and Debbie, Larry Adrian and Eleanor, Robert Randall and Terry Lynn, and Gordon Scott and Melinda; nine grandchildren, Robert, Nicole, Jennifer, Kelly, Jude, Taylor, Joseph, Brandon and Elaine, and two great-grandchildren, Bobby and Tiffany.
